Powered by everyday AA batteries that can provide up to 8 hours of operation, the laser produces a high intensity green beam with a range of 30m or 50m when used with a detector, such as the Milwaukee LLD50 or LRD100 The laser offers a 3-mode pendulum system: Manual Mode for use at any angle Self-Levelling Mode that indicates out-of-level condition with a 4° self-levelling range Pendulum Lock Mode to protect components during transport The CLL-C features a built-in magnetic bracket for positioning almost anywhere, but also includes a ¼” Tripod mount as well as a Hang Hole in case you need to hang it on a stud.  The versatility of the laser is further enhanced by the knowledge that the bracket allows the laser to rotate 360 degrees.
